Sara Lundqvist
Hello there! This is a little introduction about me.
I am currently studying Information Processing Science at the University of Oulu, Finland. Interested in cybersecurity, project management, UI/UX design, accessibility & HCI to name a few. I am open to new opportunities!
So why did I make this website? Originally, this website was supposed to be an advertisement for myself and my skills. But what's the fun in that? I realized that I can also use this site in other ways as well, and make it look more like my website. So I might just use this for posting about stuff I like or am interested in. I am currently working on some book reviews!
I'm not here to praise myself as people do in job applications. I am not an hyperintelligent megamind who learned to program at age 10. I actually started programming 4 years ago while starting my studies at the university. In fact, I would say I'm an unsurprisingly average person.
But I am determined. I like challenges, cause they provide an opportunity to learn something new and see how I would react in unexpected situations. Blah blah blah yeah.... but I mean it! I spent 6 months in the Finnish military to see how I would perform under pressure. I actively put myself in situations where I have to speak publicly to a large audience even though I have massive stage fright and will probably stutter half the time. I became a student tutor regardless of my social anxiety, and I loved it! These might not seem like the greatest of achievements, but they are to me.
Okay, that's enough jargon! Here's some more silly facts about me: I value friendship, curiosity and an open-minded world view. I like the color yellow. I could eat sushi for the rest of my life. My favourite band is Green Day.
